Waey has a team with a diverse technical background who has experience with all major LCA methodologies and software. We have broad experience in LCA, used for comparisons, Environmental Product Declarations, and more.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a technique for assessing environmental aspects associated with a product over its life cycle. LCA takes a lifetime perspective, takes into consideration all the steps that lead from raw material through manufacture, distribution, and usage to final disposal.
LCA addresses design/engineering options that offer the minimum environmental impact during building, operation, and the end-of-life phases of a project. LCA is uniquely valuable in assessing and documenting the evidence used in this decision process.
We conduct LCA study in accordance with ISO frameworks, ISO 14040 and ISO 14044. And our representatives are from Global Mendeley Research Community and with International Publications.
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently verified and registered document that communicates transparent and comparable data and other relevant environmental information about the life-cycle environmental impact of a product. It is a summarized report extracted from an in-depth Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that complies with the ISO 14040 series.
An EPD includes multiple datasets such as resource consumption of energy, water and renewable resources, and emissions to air, water, and soil. This data is aggregated using multiple environmental impacts including contributions to climate change (carbon footprint), air, water and soil pollution and resource depletion.
The relevant standard for Environmental Product Declarations is ISO 14025, where they are referred to as “type III environmental declarations”. EPDs are essential for manufacturing businesses as it has number of applications. Including, explaining aspects of production, distribution, usage, or end-of-life options.
